Take a walk around the newly opened JCube at Jurong east.
It is located at a very convenient location, right across the street from the Jurong East Bus and MRT station.
Although just opened, it had garnered several negative feedback. Firstly, it is the lack of parking space in the parking lot. Comments such as "It is Monday and there is no parking space, like that how to park during Weekends and Public Holidays" is very common. But in my opinion, there is no parking space on a weekday simply because it is the opening of the mall. Come on, imagine 6 months down the road, do you think it will be as congested as today? I likely doubt so.
Secondly, is a policy implemented in the Kopitiam Food court located in the basement, whereby patrons have to return their trays and clear their own tables after their meals. Well, different people responded to this differently. Some said: "This is a good practice to allow us to be more civic minded" while others said, "What the hell, walao why have to clear sia. Macham like in Army leh. Somemore one can drink $1.80, cui la.", "Fwah not bad, can get many free Kopitiam cards liao lo." Honestly, i think that it is good to cultivate a good habit of clearing after yourself.
But seriously, during the lunch and evening crowd, who cares returning their trays and clearing up? People are rushing back to work and some just to siam. Haha I believe soon there will be STOMPs regarding people not returning their trays. Thought quite few, but there are mobile reception issues with some shoppers.
I think for this policy to work, it would be under the pressure of other people watching you. Haha maybe Kopitiam can hire a Kopi Warden. Under watchful eyes of other patrons, we would normally think Aiyo just clear and zao la. Unless you're those bo chup aunty and uncle who act blur and siam. The other way? STOMP la. We don't know when we will get STOMP and if it wasn't for STOMPers, nobody would give a damn about giving up their seats in MRT. Must kena humiliated or fines under law then people will bo bian follow.
I hope i wont kena those case whereby the previous occupant messed up the table then after i eat, i clear my stuff and people thought i never clear. Then i have to clean for the previous occupant meh? It would be ridiculous.
My experience isn't so bad. The air con is very cold, especially near the Ice Rink at 3rd Storey. I personally prefer the old one though. So head down and take a look for yourselves la...
